THE WELDER’S PRAYER

By

Martin Yanick

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today,

As welders at the table,

we humbly kneel and pray.

Bless our hands, our tools, and every weld we make,

Guide us in the path of righteousness, for Your name's sake.

As we strike the arc and join the metal's embrace,

Help us feel Your presence in this holy space.

In the fiery forge, where steel becomes one,

May our work reflect the glory of Your Son.

Lord, grant us strength and wisdom, we implore,

As we craft and create, let Your love pour.

With each bead of weld, may we sow seeds of grace,

And shine Your light in every dark and rugged place.

Protect us from harm and danger, we beseech,

As we labor in the workshop, may Your word we preach.

In our welding, help us to find a deeper connection,

With You, our Savior, our eternal protection.

As we forge the world with fire and skill,

Let us remember that it is Your divine will.

In the crucible of our work, purify our hearts,

As we create, mend, and build, our faith imparts.

Thank you, Lord, for the talents You've bestowed,

In our welding craft, may Your love be showed.

With gratitude, we lift our helmets and pray,

In Jesus' name, Amen, this is what we say.
